Work to be completed during the week commencing 23rd March 2020.

All work is available via remote access for the school. It can be found in samples\science\working from home.

Biology:

Classification: Complete the work in the school samples area on classification and the binomial system. After watching this video, compare this system with the more modern version of Carl Woese.

Chemistry:

Complete all of the work on Endothermic and Exothermic reactions then work on energy profiles, you should be able to identify each reaction type and where most energy is stored (reactants or products). If you are studying for the higher paper (usually the top two sets), you also need to look into bond energies. If you are not in the top two sets, still have a go – don’t limit yourself!!!

Physics:

There are 3 files in the samples area, the PowerPoint and centre of mass experiments you can read. The instructions tell you how to do a version of the centre of mass experiment at home if you like.  There are also instructions to a Seneca assignment, more will be added each week.  If you want to really push yourself, have a look at Isaac Physics.

If you get a chance look up “Weebles” or better yet ask an adult you are current locked up with about them  and discuss what they have to do with centre of mass.  If you can remember the catch phrase for these once popular toys that would help!
