Work to be completed during the week commencing 22nd June 2020.

All work is available via remote access for the school. It can be found in samples\science\working from home.

Biology:

Random Sampling;

When studying a habitat, ecologists will first estimate the populations of the species living there.The abundance of each species can never be known exactly, but sampling can give reasonably accurate estimates. So small samples are studied at random locations, and then scaled up to fit the entire habitat.

Chemistry:

Having completed the work on fractional distillation, I would now like you to use this week to focus on the properties and uses of each fraction from LPG to bitumen. Review some of the videos and see what else you can find out. Video 1 Video2

Properties and uses of each fraction obtained from fractional distillation. Explore the trends of properties for each chain length

Physics:

This week’s work is ready to watch here and you can download this worksheet to fill in through your lesson.
