Biology:

Year 10: RANDOM SAMPLING REQUIRED PRACTICAL

There is an experiment you can carry out at home with your parent’s permission. Pick a nice day as you will be counting a plant species.  Don’t worry if you don’t have the equipment as there is a set of results from previous students for you to carry out an analysis.

The lesson objectives are:

Chemistry:

Look at the combustion of alkanes in this video. You need to be aware of incomplete combustion too, make sure that you know about the practical sides of this as it could save your life one day. Here is one of many adverts/information films shown about the issue. Some people may find this theme upsetting but, as i said above, knowing about the dangers could prevent a death.

This is the lesson being taught at school. Password will be lifted on Thursday 2nd July.

Physics:

Year 10 have a video to watch and a worksheet to complete. ┬áThere is an alternative sheet for those who don’t have you tube in the samples area.
