Year 10 – week 3

Work to be completed during the week commencing 20th April 2020.

All work is available via remote access for the school. It can be found in samples\science\working from home.

Adaptations of animals and plants. Begin with this video. You need to be able to describe how an animal or plant have adapted to live in their natural environment, e.g. camel, penguin, cactus.

We are now starting a new topic, rates of reactions. The topic builds on what we learnt about activation energy, so remember to look back on your work from before the holidays to remind yourself of what this is. Firstly, I have added a glossary of all the key terms you will learn in this topic, so if you come across something you don’t understand have a look for it in there. This week you need to work through the power points which introduce the topic and go through the factors which affect the rates of chemical reactions. Watch the videos included in the power points and use what you have learnt to complete the worksheets Video 1Video 2

Check your answers to work set previously:

Please go to you tube and find “Physics Penguin’s channel”  there is a playlist called forces, it has a video on the current topic but also has a worksheet attached to the description. The video explains the topic, and then goes over the worksheet.  This should avoid any issue with remote access.  I will update Seneca and Isaac Physics but I would like everyone to attempt the video work first.
