This week we are continuing with the rates of reaction topic, we are looking at calculating the rates of reactions and some practicals looking at how the concentration of reactants affects the rate of reactions. Start by looking at the PowerPoint and worksheet (in the school’s samples area) on calculating the rates of reaction use this video to help you. Higher students should also look at calculating rates of reactions using a tangent, this video shows you how to do this. Next have a look at the PowerPoint on the practical related to rates of reaction, watch the videos on Edpuzzle using the links on the slides and answer the questions on the worksheet. The first is about measuring rate with turbidity and the second about measuring the rate by collecting gas.
This week, there is a new video that has been specially made for you the energy in springs. The worksheet is available to download from the description in YouTube. When complete, use this time to see what year 9 had to do and you can complete this too to make sure that you are up to speed with previous topics.
