Work to be completed during the week commencing 13th July 2020.

All work is available via remote access for the school. It can be found in samples\science\working from home.

Biology:

This is the last lesson of the cells topic, you need to know the difference between, diffusion, osmosis and active transport and how plant and animals use this different methods of transport.

Chemistry:

In September, we will have a few weeks looking through structure and bonding and having a little assessment to see how well things have gone. Very well done to those of you who have sent lots of work to me for marking and have completed the exam style questions from last week. There are two things to do this week.

  1. Complete any unfinished work and get it marked.
  2. Create a summary of structure and bonding so far. Things to include are: Ionic bonding, Covalent bonding, Metallic bonding, properties and structures (ionic, covalent, metallic, giant covalent, monatomic).

I am very serious when I say that we will “quickly” go through this topic, it is essential that you complete this work or you will never catch it up, watch the week by week videos and make a simple summary. Paragraph, spider diagram, poster, art work…I don’t mind. This will be useful for your GCSEs too. Please send me a photo when you’re done!

Also – HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!

Physics:

For the final week of learning from home, begin by watching this video. The complete this worksheet which follows the lesson.
