Biology

The most important part of getting ready for A-level Biology is ensuring that you are very competent and confident with GCSE Biology. Lots of the work that you will have covered at GCSE is essential and you should use time over the summer to refresh and practice.

The A level biology course will start with looking at cells, organelles and biological molecules (sugars, proteins, fats and DNA). So over the summer recapping and reminding yourself about organelles (structure and function) and biological molecules will help you make a good start to year 12.

Chemistry

Most of the students who struggle with Mole calculations at A-Level do so because they didn't fully embrace them at GCSE. Other sections include Structure, Bonding and Properties.
